You are welcome to attend any of our Cancer Outreach meetings.  They're held in the home economics room the first Monday of each month at 7:00 pm.  There will be a time of sharing prayer requests and concerns.  Then we'll join together in prayer.  You'll hear an encouraging, inspiring  message and enjoy good music.  Our great cooks will bring their best dishes and the fun and fellowship will certainly be a blessing to you.

Upcoming Meetings:  10/2, 11/16, 12/4

Nutrition Tips: Persimmons are a healthy fruit. They have 9.5% of our fiber need in 70 calories of fruit. They are a good source of vitamin A, betulinic acid as an anti turmor factor, and catechins as anti infective, anti inflammatory, anti hemorrhagic factors. Enjoy your persimmons!

Positive Effects of Prayer

Philippians 4:6 Be careful for nothing but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. 7 And the peace of God which passeth all understanding shall keep your hearts and minds through Jesus Christ

Ephesians 6: 17 and 18
And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: 18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints.

II Thessalonians 3:1-3
Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified, even as it is with you: 2 And that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men: for all men have not faith. 3 But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you and keep you from evil.

Prayer gives us peace. To know that God loves us and wants the best for us is comforting. We see life as it is presently; however, God sees throughout all eternity. He knows what is best for us. Heaven is a wonderful future. To get recovery from sickness is a win and life in heaven is a win.
